WorkLink Create: How to create Timeline animations
The Timeline Editor can be used to create 3D animations for each object in the Step Hieararchy.
Create timeline animations
- Select the object or part of the object you wish to animate and hit the record
button.
- The movement of the object will be recorded and a track will be created in the timeline until you hit "Stop Recording." A new time bar will be created inside the timeline. (You can record multiple transform changes for the same object).
- Hit the play button
to play the animation.
- Once you have successfully created your timeline animations, here is how to simulate timeline animations/project.
Channels and Actions
Every time you animate an object, it is represented in the timeline as a “Channel” (that includes its timebar). Also, when an object from the scene is added to the timeline, it creates a “Channel” that is empty. The objects, Channels and Timebars can also be removed (deleted) at will. Additional Channels can be added to any object in the timeline.
- Channel Effects
WorkLink Create comes complete with actions to help the author showcase specific “areas of interest” within their subject matter. To create a new Channel (+Channel) and click on (+Timebar) to open FX’s options: Set Object Color, Fade In/Out, Add Highlight Sphere.
The Actions channel can also be used for non-object specific actions, like Move To Step and Content Placement.
