WorkLink Create: Project Optimization Tips
You will find the following tips useful for project optimization in WorkLink Create:
-
Use Default state - It is very important to always start your project in Default state. Duplication of objects, materials, images, etc. through the project will be avoided. Learn more: Default State.
-
Reduce and simplify Materials - Materials can be just as heavy as geometry when you get a large number of them in the scene. Renaming a couple of key materials to an obvious name besides the default one imported can help to set this apart from the duplicates for clean up.
-
Reduce Images in the project - Remove unnecessary images and resize necessary ones to smaller versions to help reduce the amount of memory the App requires to load everything.
-
Simplify Object Trigger Hit Boxes - For example, using Spheres as hit boxes when not needed can add to memory as they are a lot higher poly(1984 tris) than a simple cube (12 tris) or cylinder (128 tris). Once you use spheres all over the project the interaction memory space starts to take up a bunch of space.
