    Thanks Gary,

In  the meantime, we're looking to use the Finish Procedure UI Template (UI Editor-->Select Template-->Finish Procedure). We found it'll work if you don't change the name of the Yes button. I'm going to get with Tech Supp today to see what command they're calling to close the scenario. Hopefully, we can replicate this UI template to create our own "Close" UI Template.

I'll keep you in the loop.

    Sam.

    Gary,

FYI--I've tried just about everything, but there is no way to create a custom UI template that has an inset where the Confirm button closes the scenario. Oh, and I did get the Finish Procedure UI Template to work after I renamed the Confirm button from Yes to Close. Anyway, here's what I submitted today...maybe we'll hear something tomorrow on this:

    Hello,
I'm trying to create a custom UI template that has an inset, a Cancel button and a Confirm button. I want to rename Cancel to be Restart and point to the beginning. And then I want to rename the Confirm button to Close which will close the scenario when tapped.

If I use the existing Finish Procedure UI template, I can rename the Confirm button to Close and it works. But if I create my own UI template the Confirm button does not close the scenario.

Please let me know if the intent of the Confirm button is to close the scenario. If it is not, can you tell me how you are closing the scenario with the Confirm button in the Finish Procedure UI template.

    Thanks!
    sam.

Thanks for your feedback Sam and Gary!

The current functionality and behavior is indeed what you described.

I created a ticket in our backlog (internal reference 3036) to aexplore these 3 options as well:

    1. Allow “Finish procedure” as a trigger on an object in 3D space

    2. Allow “Finish procedure" as a timeline editor action

    3. Allow “Finish procedure" on an inset or link in the UI editor

How would would you rank these 3 in order of importance for your use case?

Hope you have a great week!

I think Sam has first dibs here but for our use case the priority would be:

    1. Allow “Finish procedure" as a timeline editor action

    2. Allow “Finish procedure” as a trigger on an object in 3D spa
    3. Allow “Finish procedure" on an inset or link in the UI editor

    Awesome, thanks so much Gilles,

Gary nailed it for priority. Looking forward to the upgrade.

    Have a great day!

    Sam.

Thanks for your feedback, it's good to know that "Allow “Finish procedure" as a timeline editor action" is the highest priority for you.

Up next we'll do a feasibility study, set up more detailed acceptance critetia and user interaction design.

I will confirm when these features could get commited to actual sprints, weighing it amongst other backlog priorities and roadmap items.

So in terms of timing, to set the expectations right, it might take a while before these features will be implemented, I'll keep you in the loop on the progress.
