Alternative ways to progress through scenarios - air tap, gaze, alternative voice commands
Hi folks,
often we see users struggling with air tapping or touching augmented menus on the HL2. We currently use the voice commands where possible however we often have multiple people in close proximity with each other. The word 'Next' for example is a very common word especially in a training area! We are seeing non-users trigger active users HL2 voice commands accidentally.
Would like to put up for consideration to either have options for alternative irregular words to be used as voice commands for example "Proceed" or "Continue" to move from step to step to resolve our voice command issue.
Would also like to follow up on where you guys are at with Gaze technology on the HL2. Users simply look at a trigger or a augmented button for more than 2 seconds and it activates.
Thanks all,
Gary

Hi Gary,
Thanks for your feedback. We have a number of improvements on our roadmap this year to make using WorkLink on the HoloLens 2 a lot easier to interact with including head-gaze & dwell input and in the case where users are in close proximity, the ability to toggle voice inputs on/off, or select an attention phrase like "Alexa" or "Hey Siri" before saying the rest of the voice command. Hopefully these will address your issues and provide users with different options depending on their situations.
