2.14.0 comes with several exciting new updates, the highlights are:

• Option to move Empty Objects without affecting its children
  This helps in the use case where you might want to use an Empty Object as a parent group. Being able to move the Empty Object helps with using it as a pivot for animations on all of its children.
  You can use this function by pressing this button.
  

• When creating a new project, an Interactive Mode Camera will be added to the Default Step

• The timeline editor had an graphical update, which makes it easier to grab timebar edges and read their description
