Features to Enable Easier Creation of Parts Catalogs

Hello Scope AR Team-

 

Are there any features on the roadmap to make it easier to develop Parts Catalog experiences in WorkLink?  I think I heard that in a face-to-face meeting last summer, but my memory is not clear about it.

 

I can imagine some ways to use the csv import function of 2.11 followed with the Replace Asset function to create nicely spaced exploded diagrams with helpful callouts.  Are there other features coming that might help us make Parts Catalogs more easily/standardized/systematically?  If so, could you please estimate when they will release?

 

We might start a Parts Catalog project soon.  If you’ve got new features coming that make it easier, we might wait to start our project so we can use the new features.

  Yes, we plan to introduce Parts Catalog which will allow you to more easily customize what your end-users can navigate in the object hierarchy on any step and empower them to highlight, isolate, hide, search, and view the details of any part. This new feature is planned for Q3 this year, and we would be happy to share more details with you directly.

  Great!  Thank you for this information, it’s helpful for our project planning.

   

  I’m especially happy to see search in that list!  Our 2D PDF Parts Catalog users almost always use CTRL + F as soon as they open them.

   

  I’ll chat with my teammates about this upcoming feature set, and then might request a little more detail (directly).
