Object trigger functions from UI button
Hello, we often use an in scene 'button' (a plane with an object trigger applied to it) so we can toggle the visibility of selected parts in our work instructions. I was hoping we will be able to set a button in the UI to some of the same object trigger functions. Foremost in my mind due to our use cases is obviously the visibility toggle. Although callout toggle, URL, and scenario link could also be useful as buttons in the UI.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for your request.
I'm happy to say that we are currently actively developing on a complete overhaul of the UI editor system, which we are targeting a first release for in the second half of this year.
The first version will include the ability for setting up URL and scenario links in the UI.
We are planning to expose visibility and callout toggles on specific objects after that initial release.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Have a great day!

Gilles Van de Sompel, a question came up within my team regarding Scenario Linking from the UI. If a user clicked the link to another scenario, does it get recorded as 'finishing' the first scenario?

Hi Greg,
I can field this since it pertains to the WorkLink App and the CMS.
The answer depends on the session type. If it's Passive, then it will finish the first scenario. If it's a persistent type, then it will not finish and allow users to resume their active sessions.
Hope that helps,
James

Thanks for great conversation in the community, folks! I was exploring scenario linking today and wanted to use a UI button for it. I was so happy to read that the upcoming UI overhaul will include it!
