AR Waypoint/Path
Hello,
I would like to see an AR Path/Waypoint feature that allows the developer to toggle on/off a Waypoint feature for each object. This would allow a semi-transparent line or arrow to move from the camera to the object (AR/Interactive mode); this line would continue to follow the camera as it navigated closer to the object. This means that if a step was highlighting a small or hidden component, there would be a line/arrow directing the user to the specific part. This would be in addition to highlighting an object with a color or highlight sphere. This would be useful if the specific object was behind a parent assembly and the user needed to walk around the parent assembly to have a visual of the specific component.
Additionally, if the system automatically routed the waypoint line around the object (as to not just be a straight line through the parent assembly) this would also indicate to the user that the specific object was on the "back side" of the parent assembly.
Hopefully many developers would find this useful!
Thank you.

I made a similar post a few months ago, and Gilles opened Internal reference 2883. I'd love to see a feature like this!

Hey Andrew, I do see your post; I must have missed it. It's basically the same concept and would be very beneficial for mid-large assemblies that have components on many sides. From a development standpoint, I feel like it would be relatively straightforward to develop and implement. I know this group is always making great progress towards updates and improvements in Create, so hopefully they can fit this in!

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for sharing your feature request! You described a feature that is on our product roadmap and I look forward to your feedback when it comes out.
Best,
James
