Custom Workspaces (and why you should care)
WorkLink Create (WLC) released new features, that allow a complete customization of your Workspace. Below I will write about two that have helped me the most recently. As an author your projects can get complex, so knowing the different Workspaces available and customizing your own will help you to stay organized and author faster.
Think about setting up your Workspace as you would your ideal personal work environment/desk set up. In WLC, you have access to multiple Workspace layouts that are easy to save and switch between in newer versions of WorkLink Create.
Timeline Editing Work Space
As an author, you may experience that multiple objects from the Scene View need to be animated at the same time. With the default Workspace, this complex problem becomes to much to handle. The Timeline Editing Work Space allows you to animate up to 10x objects the amount of objects as compared to using the default one, by giving you a larger view of the Timeline Editor (TLE). Bonus: Use the plus and minus buttons in the bottom right of the TLE to give yourself even more space for maximum precision on your animations.
Multi View Workspace
My new favorite because it allows me to utilize all three of my monitors. Use this Workspace, add multiple Scene Views, toggle the maximization on your web browser window so that you can drag it across multiple monitors. This customization is the fastest way see a 3D object from three different angles at the same time. You can also make great customizations if you're only using one screen as well.
What Workspace(s) do you have? If you haven't already try testing out the all ones available and saving a few of your own.
