Scale Function added to the Nudge Item menu for WorkLink App
Sometimes when placing models, depending on how the model was created, there can be scaling issues where the model might need to scale up or down slightly to overlay on an object properly. This issue currently has to be addressed in WorkLink create and then re-published for use at the correct scale. It would be beneficial to have a scale function built in to the Nudge menu at the point of use on the device for proper scaling when things don't quite match up due to the scale of the model given that everything is parented properly to the base model.
This would also be advantageous for training that space might be a concern. The model could be scaled down to a manageable size. For instance, training in a smaller office or conference room where there may not be a whole lot of room for a big model. The model could be scaled down to fit the needs of the end user.
Also, an indicator of percentage of scale would be useful as well so when the models are corrected, the author has an idea of how much to correct for. This way it can be fixed in one go vs the cycle of fixing and deploying scenarios multiple times.

Thank you much for the request, Eric. It is very much appreciated!
Adjusting the scale in the Nudge menu on HoloLens 2 is currently on our roadmap for Q4 this year as a part of a set of improvements to Nudge to make both small and large adjustments easier and intuitive.

I came into this channel to post a couple Nudge improvement requests and am super happy to learn you're already working on it!
If you aren't already considering breaking the Move buttons into separated X, Y, Z buttons, please do! Sometimes we only want to move in one axis.
Also, sometimes it's hard to remember which way is X, Y, or Z, as a user. It would be cool if there was some information displayed to the user that helped them identify the axis they should be nudging. Perhaps when you hit the Nudge menu, it would temporarily place a gizmo in the middle of the scene with coloration that matches the corresponding buttons in the Nudge menu. Something like that could help users avoid iterative adjustments, because they'd be better informed before making the adjustment.

Yes, to all of the above! We certainly have those in our designs and plan to update the Nudge feature in two phases:
1) Menu improvements that breaks out the different axes, and allows for more precise adjustments and changes to scale.
2) Gizmo improvements that will match the coloration of the different axes in the menu. Direct manipulation of the hologram will be much easier and more intuitive as a result.
Thanks for your feedback, Andrew!

I just took the improved Nudge experience for a spin and you've nailed "easier and more intuitive"! Thank you!
