WorkLink Web Viewer (beta)
Introduction
WorkLink Web Viewer (Beta) is a browser-based experience for viewing WorkLink scenarios. This release introduces a streamlined way for users to access scenario content without installing an app, simply by opening a web page on their PC, Mac, or mobile device.
This version of the viewer supports touchscreen navigation, project state parity, revisions and role-based scenario access (viewer, reviewer, author), just like the iOS, Android and HL2 apps. It is part of our broader goal to increase WorkLink’s accessibility while maintaining the integrity of scenario data and versioning.
Please note: Only scenarios published with Create 2.39 or newer are compatible with the web viewer.
By default the "Show incompatible scenarios" filter is turned off, turning it on will show scenarios published with versions prior to Create 2.39. These scenarios are greyed out and will show a tooltip:
“Cannot load scenario
This scenario was published using a version of Create that doesn’t support the web viewer. Republish the Scenario with the latest Create version.”
Please note: WorkLink Web Viewer's updates are tied to WorkLink Create releases.
How to Access the Web Viewer
- Navigate to worklink.scopear.com
- Sign in using your WorkLink account credentials.
- View the list of scenarios shared with you.
- Use the search bar or sorting options (e.g., Date Published, Name) to find the relevant content.
- Click a scenario to launch it, the viewing experience is equivalent to interactive mode.
How to Navigate 3D content in the Web Viewer
The Web Viewer allows you to interact with 3D scenarios using either a mouse (on desktop) or touch gestures (on mobile/tablet). The controls are optimized for intuitive navigation, whether you're using a PC, Mac, or mobile device.
Mouse Controls (Desktop)
- Rotate: Click and drag with the left mouse button (LMB)
- Pan (move sideways/up-down): Click and drag with the middle mouse button (MMB) or press the scroll wheel.
-
Zoom:
- Scroll the mouse wheel
- Or click and drag with the right mouse button (RMB)
Touch Controls (Mobile and Tablet)
- Rotate: Drag with one finger
- Pan: Drag with two fingers
- Zoom: Pinch in/out with two fingers
Camera Focus Behavior
When you load a scenario, the default camera view orbits around the center of the bounding box of all content in the scene. This ensures that your view remains centered on the key elements of the scenario, regardless of device or viewport.
