WorkLink Create: How to create AR Object trackers by selection
The easiest way to create Object trackers, is to create them by selection. The video below explains how to set this up on WorkLink Create as well as the user's experience on WorkLink App:
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Selecting Objects for Tracking
Navigate to the Content Placement Step: Locate the step in your project where you can see the content that will be shown to the user during content placement.
Control-Select Objects: Press and hold the Control key, then click on each object you wish to track to select multiple objects simultaneously.
Create Tracker from Selection: Right-click within the step hierarchy and choose the option to create a tracker from the selection.
2. Configuring the Object Tracker
Access the AR Trackers Window: Find the newly created object tracker listed in the AR Trackers window.
Set as Primary Alignment Method: Make the object tracker the first alignment method by prioritizing it over other trackers, such as the surface tracker.
Adjust Display Modes: Switch the display modes of the object tracker to "Device Mode" to ensure tracking is relative to the user's device.
Disable Auto Pose: Turn off the auto pose feature to allow for manual pose selection.
Select a Specific Pose: Choose a specific pose that users need to align with the object. A three-quarter front view is recommended for a comprehensive tracking experience. Ensure the pose fits nicely within the device's frame.
Adjust the settings in case needed: Default settings are recommended, if you wish to have more detailed information about the settings and debugging them, please see this article.
3. Applying and Publishing Changes
Apply Changes: Confirm your settings and apply the changes to finalize the object tracker configuration.
Publish the Scenario: Publish your updated project to make the changes live and available in your app.
4. Testing the Experience in the App
Open the App: Launch the application on your device to test the tracking setup.
Align Device Pose: In the app, you will see the device pose preview. Align the line model with the real world model based on the selected pose.
