WorkLink Create: Creating Graded Quizzes & Scoring Screen
The video below demonstrates how to create 2D/3D questions, as well as how to enable graded quizzes and create the result scoring screen in WorkLink Create. In the video, you also get to see the user's experience on the WorkLink App. The data is recorded and can be viewed on the CMS (it is also accessible through API - for LMS, if applicable - we are actively working to cover all quiz data.)
Step 1: Add your quiz
- Go to the step you want to add your question and open the Form Editor. Change the Type from Form to Quiz.
- Change the Question Type to Multiple Choice 3D - This enables 3D object selection for Multiple Choice.
- Provide contents to each Question box and Answer Labels, and choose which answer is correct.
- Other settings for the question that allow you to customize how 3D objects are highlighted are:
- Show Highlight Spheres: Enables highlight spheres that are rendered in front of the objects that can be selected as answers.
- Highlight Sphere Diameter: Adjusts the size of the highlight spheres in centimeters
- Highlight Color: Changes the color of the highlight spheres and outlines for 3D objects when selected.
- To enable 3D object selection in the 3D question variants, each answer must be linked with a unique object listed in the Step Hierarchy.
6. To add Callouts that can also be selected by the user, enable the Callout for each object. Keep in mind that Object Triggers will be disabled on for steps with 3D questions and all Callout properties will be overridden except for the Title Color, Title Background Color, and Offset.
Note: Remember to save your work.
Step 2: Add a scoring screen
So now we have a quiz, follow the steps below to add a scoring screen:
- Add a new step, based on the default state - This can be done by right clicking the last step and selecting Add New Step.
- In this step, go to the UI Editor, and change the template to Quiz Results.
3. Click Quiz Settings and update the settings to a Graded Assessment. If your passing score is set to 80%, an end user needs to answer at least 3 out of 4 questions correctly, in order to pass the quiz. You can also allow retries if the learner fails so they can take it again. Select Fail Only from the Allow retries dropdown menu and then enter the number of retries.
Note: Remember to save your work.
Step 3: Update your quiz/question on relevant steps
- Go to each step of your project you plan to grade.
- Change your questions to be graded questions in the Form Editor on each step.
3. You can also choose not to mark some questions as graded, this will make them function as a knowledge check, meaning they will not be taken into account for the final result calculation.
4. Save you work and simulate, to confirm you are satisfied with it.
5. Publish your project as Persistent per user, so that users can resume an active session after any unforeseen interruption.
