The simulation button allows the live preview of your project steps and animations before publishing.

Simulation has 3 options:

Simulate from start (Space)

This simulates the project, starting from the first step in the initial sequence.

This is also the default behavior when clicking on the main button.

Simulate from current step (Shift + Space)

This simulates the project, starting from the active step it was triggered from.

Simulate as viewer (Ctrl + Shift + Space)

This simulates the project, starting from the first step in the initial sequence.

This simulation type leans closer to interactive mode and the WorkLink Web App experience, as it hides Create UI that wouldn't accessible to a viewer.

 

Note:

1. Click on the stop button to stop the live preview of your timeline animations/project.
2. You can hide the UI while in simulation mode by pressing the UI button in the toolbar, this can be particularly useful when testing full-screen content for HoloLens 2.
