WorkLink: Using Folders in the WorkLink App
Overview
Folders provide an organized way for end users to browse and launch scenarios in the WorkLink App across:
- iOS
- Android
- HoloLens
- Web App
Browsing Folders
The scenario list now includes two views:

| All Scenarios | Traditional flat scenario list |
| Folders | Hierarchical folder-based navigation |
Select a folder to browse its contents.
Use:
- Back navigation
- Breadcrumbs
to return to parent folders.
Multi-level nesting is fully supported. For more details about how Folders are organized in the CMS, please review Managing Folders in the CMS.
Searching Within Folders
Search works recursively throughout the folder tree.
From the Main Scenario List
Search finds scenarios across all accessible folders and subfolders.
From Within a Folder
Search finds scenarios within:
- The current folder
- All subfolders beneath it
Search results include matching scenarios regardless of their exact folder location.
What Users See
The App automatically filters visible content based on:
- Sharing permissions
- Scenario approval status
- App compatibility
Only scenarios shared with the user:
- Directly
- Via groups
- Via folder sharing
appear in the app.
Folders containing no visible scenarios are automatically hidden. For more information, review Sharing and Permissions for Folders.
Scenario Revisions in Folders
When Revision Management is enabled, multiple revisions of a scenario may exist in different folders.
The folder view displays only the revisions associated with the folder currently being browsed.
