CMS: Publishing Scenarios to Folders in WorkLink
Overview
In WorkLink Create, scenarios are now published directly to folders.
The folder a scenario is published to determines who can access it in the WorkLink App.
Publishing to a Folder
The Publish dialog includes a folder tree pulled directly from the CMS. |
Moving a Scenario During Publish
If you select a different folder than the scenario’s current location, a warning appears explaining that the scenario will be moved.
Publishing to a folder is equivalent to placing it in that folder within the CMS.
Moving the scenario later in the CMS updates its location everywhere. To learn more about the changes in the CMS, review Managing Folders in the CMS.
Folder Visibility
The folder picker only displays folders where you have:
- Edit permission
- Higher permission levels
If you hold both an Admin and Author license, Create only displays folders you can access in the WorkLink App as a Viewer.
This prevents publishing into inaccessible locations. For more details, review the Sharing and Permissions for Folders article.
Sharing from Create
If additional sharing changes are required, Create can redirect you directly to the CMS folder details page with the Share modal already opened.
Important Notes
- Scenarios can only be published to one folder
- Folder location controls app visibility
- Permissions are determined by folder sharing
