Introducing WorkLink App 2.22.0
New Features
- Support for full-screen images authored in UI Editor 2.0: This release adds the ability to display an image using the entire screen. This can now be configured in Create and then tapping on the image in the app will display the image using full-screen mode.
- Increased default text size & scaling support on HoloLens 2: The default sizing of text for the Hololens has now been increased and resizing the window will now also scale the text. This will allow for the window to be placed further away from the user and allow them to resize the window to make the text readable at that distance. This provides greater flexibility in how users want to display the instructions for scenarios on the HoloLens 2.
- Adjusted the nudge shader for better visibility on HoloLens 2: The semi-transparent model that is placed on the Hololens was too opaque making the model obscure the real-world content too much when adjusting the placement and causing difficulties adjusting the placement to match. This has been adjusted and the model is a little more transparent now than it used to be.
Improvements
- Architectural changes: This release contains some major architectural changes to the way that the software is structured internally. While this change has no change to the functionality of the app, it will have a large impact to reduce the number of defects introduced with new features, increase the speed of development of future features, and improve general performance.
Bug Fixes
- UI Editor 2.0 Bug fix: camera insets incorrectly positioned: When using a camera inset with the new UI editor templates, the camera insets were not placed correctly. They were often partially off the screen and are not the size that is configured in Create. This has now been corrected.
-
Quick step changes from animations loses placement: When using timelines to quickly change steps, the placement of the content could be lost in some cases and require placing the content again. This has now been resolved.
-
Active tracking with an object tracker could require placing twice: When placing content with model tracking and active tracking, after placing the content it could ask the user to place the content again. This has now been resolved.
