Introducing WorkLink App 2.35.0
We are pleased to announce the release of WorkLink App 2.35.0, delivering several powerful new features, enhancements to platform behavior, and important bug fixes. This release expands interactivity, improves device handling, and increases visibility into scenario revisions.
New Features
Play/Pause Action for Animations: Users can now play or pause animations in a scenario step using a new action available via the command menu. Future Create releases will support connecting this action to in-scenario UI buttons for seamless control.
Tablet Orientation Support: Tablets now respect device orientation prior to launching a scenario, allowing users to interact with menus in their preferred layout (portrait or landscape).
Additional User Interaction Analytics: WorkLink now collects detailed interaction analytics about how users navigate the app, helping administrators gain better insight into feature usage.
Interactive Mode Focus Point Support: The app now supports a focus point setting configured in WorkLink Create. When entering interactive mode, this point acts as the center of rotation for content.
Toggle for HoloLens Scale Calibration: A new setting has been added for HoloLens users to toggle scale calibration on or off within the app’s settings menu, offering more control based on environment or use case.
Updated Deeplink Technology: Deeplinks now use Grovs instead of Firebase, as Firebase dynamic links are being deprecated. This ensures future reliability across platforms.
Display Detailed Scenario Revision Info: The scenario list now includes an info icon next to each revision. Clicking it reveals details such as the creator, creation date, and revision history.
Bug Fixes
HoloLens Scale Calibration Offset Issue: An issue on HoloLens where scale calibration would misalign content if the pivot was not centered has been resolved. Calibration now uses a consistent pivot for accurate scaling.
Conflict Between Callout and Visibility Triggers: When both callout triggers and visibility triggers were used in the same scenario, they could fall out of sync. This conflict has been fixed, ensuring both triggers work as expected.
Fixed UI Template Shifting on HoloLens: Resolved an issue where UI templates could be accidentally dragged out of place on HoloLens devices, making it difficult to click their buttons. Templates now remain fixed in position during use.
This release enhances both the flexibility and precision of the WorkLink experience, especially for users working with interactive content, HoloLens devices, or enterprise-level analytics. We strongly encourage all users to update to version 2.35.0 to take advantage of these improvements.
