Introducing WorkLink App 2.40.0
We’re excited to announce the release of WorkLink App 2.40.0, introducing new tools for visual documentation, improvements to tracking reliability, and enhanced scenario download performance. This release also includes fixes to improve stability and device compatibility.
New Features
Enhanced Scenario File Downloading: The app’s method for downloading scenario files has been updated to improve reliability and performance, particularly when operating on restricted or tightly controlled networks.
Improved Tracking Systems: The internal tracking architecture has been enhanced across platforms. These improvements increase tracking reliability and make it easier to add support for additional devices in future releases.
Markup Photos with Drawing Tools: This release has only the initial stages of this feature, which can be turned on in the developer settings panel. This feature will be completed and exposed for all users in the following release. When taking photos in a scenario, the user can now mark up those photos with drawing tools prior to uploading them to the CMS. This allows users to annotate things in the photos for the scenario session record.
Bug Fixes
UI Not Displaying on Certain Samsung Tablets: Resolved an incompatibility with certain Samsung devices that caused UI panels to display as blank white boxes. The interface now renders correctly on these devices.
Memory Leak with Specific Animations: Fixed a slow memory leak that could occur when using certain animation types within large projects. This issue could eventually lead to crashes in very large scenarios and has now been corrected.
This release enhances usability, reliability, and cross-device performance while providing new tools for richer session documentation. We recommend updating to WorkLink App 2.40.0 to take advantage of these improvements.
