We’re excited to announce the release of WorkLink App 2.39.0, delivering major improvements in session continuity, expanded IoT capabilities, streamlined legacy cleanup, and enhanced tracking reliability. This release also includes important bug fixes to improve AR stability and camera behavior.

 

New Features

1. Ability to Resume Stranded Sessions: Scenario sessions can sometimes be left in an unfinished state when users exit the app unexpectedly, background the app, or do not properly close the session.
   With this release, stranded sessions can now be resumed by the same user, ensuring work can continue without restarting. Sessions will also timeout after a configurable period, allowing them to appear correctly in reports as completed.

2. Expanded IoT Communication Support: IoT messaging is no longer limited to the value field. Authors can now configure additional message properties in WorkLink Create, and the app can display these fields directly, enabling richer data-driven experiences.

3. Removal of Create 1 (C1) Legacy Logic: Since compatibility with Create 1.X has been deprecated, this release removes unused legacy code, resulting in a smaller, cleaner, and more efficient application.

4. Restructured Tracking Services: Tracking services have been reworked to improve maintainability and scalability as WorkLink expands device support. This restructuring increases reliability and enables faster future development across platforms.

 

Bug Fixes

1. AR Content Misalignment After Photo Capture: Fixed an issue where AR content could lose tracking and become misaligned after capturing checklist photos while active tracking was enabled. Tracking now continues normally.

2. Camera Inversion When Scanning QR Codes: Resolved a problem where the camera could become inverted during QR scanning depending on device rotation settings. Camera behavior is now handled correctly in all orientations.
