Introducing WorkLink App 2.36.0
We are pleased to announce the release of WorkLink App 2.36.0, featuring major updates to scenario compatibility, interactive mode, and visual fidelity, along with important bug fixes for a smoother user experience.
New Features
Sunset of Scenarios Built with Create 1.X: The app will no longer display scenarios built with Create 1.X in the scenario list. These scenarios are no longer supported in the WorkLink app, though they remain visible in the CMS.
Expanded Interactive Mode Background Configuration: Authors can now configure the interactive mode background with more options, including grid color, sky color, sky texture, and disabling the grid entirely.
Alignment Analytics: This release adds analytics tracking for content alignment, allowing administrators to better understand how users are aligning content within their scenarios.
Support for Read-Only Form Data: The app now supports read-only text fields in forms, enabling the display of variable data (e.g., from IoT sources). An upcoming Create release will allow authors to configure these fields.
Improved Lighting Effects: Lighting in the app has been upgraded for greater visual accuracy and consistency with what authors see while working in Create.
Bug Fixes
Recording Upload Failures When Ending a Call: Fixed an issue where recordings would fail to upload if a call was ended while recording was in progress.
Performance Drop When Using the Nudge Menu: On HL2 devices, opening the nudge menu previously caused a significant FPS drop. This has been corrected, and performance remains stable when using nudge.
UI Failure with Comma as Decimal Separator: On iPads set to regions where a comma is used as the decimal separator, some UI elements failed to load. This is now handled correctly.
HoloLens Revision Info Accessibility: The revision info icon on HoloLens was previously difficult to select and displayed text in a font that was hard to read. This has been corrected for easier access and readability.
This release strengthens performance, usability, and visual consistency across devices while introducing more flexibility for authors and administrators. We encourage all users to update to WorkLink App 2.36.0 for the best experience.
