WorkLink Create: Navigation Tips and Shortcuts
You can use the following tips and shortcuts when creating your work instructions in WorkLink Create.
Camera Controls/ Scene Navigation

Hold Right Mouse Button and drag to look around.

Hold Right Mouse Button and use W (forward),A (left),S (backwards),D (right),Q (up),E (down) to move the camera around, hold SHIFT to double speed.

Hold ALT (Option key on Mac) and:

drag with Left Mouse Button to orbit around the screen center.

drag with Right Mouse Button to dolly the camera.

drag Middle Mouse Button to pan.
-

Hold Middle Mouse Button and drag to pan. For 2-button mouse setups, use Ctrl + Right Mouse Button drag to pan.

Scroll the WHEEL to dolly the camera. The camera will move towards the position of your mouse cursor in the Scene View
Gizmo
Use W,E,R change gizmo modes to translate/rotate/scale.

Q - Hide Gizmo

X - Change spaces (Local/Global)

Drag with Left Mouse Button to orbit around a focused object (hotkey “f” a selected object in the viewport or double-click on an object in the step hierarchy). Learn more: What is a Pivot Point/How to manipulate the Pivot Point of an object.
Snap to grid

Ctrl + Shift + gizmo drag.

It rounds up the position and increments in steps of 1
Action History
-
Undo : Windows and Mac = CTRL + Z (Alternatively on Mac, CMD + Z)

Redo : Windows and Mac= SHIFT + CTRL + Z (Alternatively on Mac, SHIFT + CMD + Z)

Click an action to quickly “jump” to it
Note: Deleting an object/file and right clicking on Mac is slightly different.

Delete using Keyboard: Fn + delete button (backspace)

Right Clicking using trackpad: 2 touches and a click
-
Right Clicking using Mouse: Hold down CTRL + click the mouse.
Timeline
-
Adding of fragments (“boxes” like in the current WorkLink 1.0) to channels can be done by recording or by right-clicking in the channel and choosing a fragment.

Positioning fragments (drag the fragment itself left-right in the channel lane.)

Resizing fragments (drag the edges of the fragment to make it shorter/longer.)
-
Zooming the timeline horizontally with shift + mouse wheel.
-
Zooming the timeline vertically with alt + mouse wheel.
-
Timeline playback/pausing (click the PLAY / PAUSE word.)
-
Time scrubbing (click and drag on the time strip - where the time markers are - to set the current time point.)
-
Drag loop marker (blue marker) to define the looping point.
UI components
-
Hide and show all UI components: CTRL + SPACE.
Scene objects
-
Z - Switch between group center and object pivot.
Snap Settings
-
Snap settings are applied when using ctrl in combination with the gizmo (rotate, translate, scale).
