Multi monitor support (Phase 1)
These panels can open in a separate browser window for use on another monitor:
Preferences, Project Settings, Project Health, Search & Replace, History, Object Groups, Attachments, Step Actions, Step Conditions, and 3D Asset Optimizer.
Steps
- Open the panel (Window or Edit).
- If it is docked, drag the tab out until it floats.
- Click Open in New Window on the floating panel title bar. (Multiple supported tabs in one float: Open Tab Group in New Window.)
- Move the new browser window to your other monitor.
Restore — Restore to Main Window in the pop-out title bar.
Close pop-out — Closing the browser window closes the panel (it does not return to the main layout). Re-open from the menu if needed.
Pop-out not available when the panel is still docked; it shares a float group with unsupported panels (e.g. Scene View); simulation is playing; or you are in view-only or certain special editor modes.
Other panels (Scene View, Timeline, Sequence Editor, etc.) stay in the main window only.
