WorkLink Create: How to name, rename a project and a scenario
In WorkLink Create, a project refers to the editable file containing raw 3D work instructions. Once published, this project becomes a scenario, which is a consumable file (.scope) accessible via the WorkLink App. The project name/title is the same as the scenario name. You can name and rename your project directly in WorkLink Create. Additionally, both projects and scenarios can be renamed through the CMS.
Naming a Project
When creating a new project:
-
A prompt will appear to enter a project name.
-
You may input a custom name or leave it blank.
-
If left blank, the system auto-generates a name.
Renaming a Project in Create
You can rename a project from your Create home page by right clicking on the project name and selecting Rename. Alternatively, to rename an existing project:
-
Click the text box at the top-center of the editor screen.
-
Enter the desired project name.
-
Press "Enter" or click outside the text box to save changes.
Renaming a Project on the CMS
To rename a project in the CMS:
-
Navigate to Content and select Projects (All Projects).
-
Locate the project you wish to rename and check the box beside it.
-
Click Edit, enter the new project name, and save your changes.
Any changes to the project name in the CMS are automatically reflected in WorkLink Create, and vice versa.

To rename a scenario in the CMS:
-
Go to Content and select Scenarios (All Scenarios).
-
Locate the scenario you want to rename and check the box beside it.
-

Renaming the scenario in the CMS will automatically update the name in the WorkLink App, as well as the associated project name in WorkLink Create.
