WorkLink Create: History - Tracking your activities
History Window
The History window provides a chronological log of every action performed in your project. It allows you to visualize your workflow and quickly revert the scene to any previous state.
You can access the History window by navigating to Window > History.
Key Features
Quick Jump: Click on any entry in the list to instantly "jump" the scene back (or forward) to that specific point in time.
Project Reset: The first entry is always -- Project Opened --. Selecting this will revert the scene to its initial state before any actions were applied.
Visual Indicators: Each action is paired with a specific icon representing the type of change made (e.g., transformations, visibility toggles, or metadata updates), making it easy to scan your progress at a glance.
Current State: The highlighted entry in the list represents your current position in the project's timeline. Actions listed below the highlight (in a greyed-out state) represent "Redo" steps that can be reclaimed.
Keyboard Shortcuts
If you prefer using your keyboard, you can navigate through your history using standard undo/redo commands:
| Action | Windows | macOS |
|---|---|---|
| Undo | Ctrl + Z | Cmd + Z |
| Redo | Shift + Ctrl + Z | Shift + Cmd + Z |
Pro Tip: If you jump back to a previous action and perform a new task, all history entries following that point will be overwritten by your new sequence of actions.
