Modify Tab Overview ποΈ
The Modify Tab is where we apply transformations and adjustments to objects in 3DS Max.
1οΈβ£ Object Name & Color π¨
- Change object name for better organization.
- Adjust object color (randomized by default).
- Disable "Assign Random Color" for uniform light-gray objects.
2οΈβ£ Modifier Stack π
πΉ Modifier List β Contains all available modifiers for geometry.
πΉ Stack Hierarchy β Bottom = Base Object, Top = Final Result.
πΉ Show End Result β Lets you preview final changes while modifying.
β Custom Modifier Button Set
- Speed up workflow by adding commonly used modifiers as buttons.
- Steps to create a button set:
- Click "Configure Modifier Sets" (Pencil and Paper icon).
- Choose button layout (e.g., 16 buttons).
- Drag & drop your most-used modifiers (e.g., Symmetry, Shell, Bevel).
- Save & Apply!
3οΈβ£ Geometry Parameters π
- Modify length, width, height of standard primitives.
- Adjust segment counts for extra subdivisions.
- Reset values β Right-click Spinners to return to default (1 segment).
4οΈβ£ Deleting Modifiers β
Right-click a modifier in the stack β Delete.
