24 - Importing into Create
Importing & Setting Up Proxy Model & Scan in Create
1. Importing the Files into Create
- Drag & Drop the Files
- Imported gen_proxy.fbx and gen_scan.fbx into Create.
- Waited for the processing icon (stopwatch) to complete for both files.
- Verifying Upload Completion
- Once processing finished, received a notification confirming success.
- The gen_scan.fbx also generated a scan media texture.
2. Loading the Models into the Scene
- Placing the Models
- Dragged the gen_proxy.fbx into the viewport.
- Dragged the gen_scan.fbx into the viewport.
- Used F to focus and confirm alignment.
- Ensuring Proper Alignment
- Verified the models aligned exactly as in 3DS Max.
- Hid the scan layer to check the proxy model alone.
3. Tweaking Materials in Create
- Adjusting Shared Materials
- Fine-tuned any material discrepancies from the 3DS Max import.
- Fixing Transparency Issues
- Located the transparent material for covers.
- Set Color → Black.
- Changed Alpha Mode → Blend.
- Adjusted roughness as needed for proper glass appearance.
✅ The proxy model and scan are now fully set up in Create, with accurate materials and alignment!
