WorkLink Calling: Guest Invite Using a PIN
An expert is able to invite a guest to a Remote Assistance call by sharing a PIN access code with the guest.
For Expert: Generate PIN
- Log into the WorkLink App.
- Select the "Invite Guest" icon in the top right corner.
- Select the PIN option.
- Enter the first name and last name of the guest.
- Tap "Create PIN".
- Tap "Copy PIN" and send it to the guest over the phone, text, or email.
NOTE: On the back-end the CMS creates the user with the role of a guest. The invitation is created with a pending status until the guest uses the PIN. The CMS provides the Expert with the PIN.
Once the guest enters the PIN into the WorkLink App, the Expert will receive a Remote Assistance call that they can accept.
For Guest: Use PIN
A guest can use a PIN through a browser or through pin entry on the WorkLink App.
WorkLink App
- Guest installs the WorkLink App on their device (if not installed already).
- Open the WorkLink App and select "Enter PIN"
- Enter your PIN and select "Submit"
- Guest will automatically be connected to the Expert on a call
Browser
- Guest installs the WorkLink App on their device (if not installed already).
- Guest launches browser on the same device and enters https://cms.scopear.com/i/pin e.g. https://cms.scopear.com/i/NULKOU
- The guest will be redirected to another browser to launch the WorkLink App.
- The guest will automatically be connected to the Expert on a call.
NOTE: Guest cannot use PIN on Google app browser. Supported browsers are: Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
