How to create a camera for interactive mode
- By default, when creating a new project, an Interactive Mode Camera will be created in the Default Step. But you can also create a new camera in the Step Hierarchy in case it was deleted over time, Right click > Camera.
- (optional) To easily create a camera view based on the active Scene View, you can click the right camera button in the Object Properties > Transform section.
Tip: the left camera button allows you to apply the camera values to the viewport, so you can easily fly to that position. - To use this camera as an interactive mode preset, enable the "Use for Interactive mode" preset.
As mentioned, you can use the "use the scene view camera transform values" button to align the camera with the active scene view. - (optional) You can add a focus point to the interactive mode camera.
This feature allows you to focus the center of rotation of a camera, on the center of the bounding box of the selected object. This way, when a viewer in the app (Web, iOS, Android), watches the content in the 3D viewer (interactive mode), the camera will orbit around that defined point.
When not defined, the camera will default to orbit around the point where the center ray of the camera, intersects with a perpendicular plane that intersects with the center of the bounding box of the scene content. - When Simulating, you will see that the camera will fly to this preset once you enter the step.
