WorkLink Create: How to save a scenario as a PDF when publishing
Use Export PDF in the Publish window to create a printable copy of your WorkLink scenario. Create attaches the PDF to the published version in CMS and downloads a copy to your device.
Before you begin
- Open the project you want to publish and review its steps, text, and visuals.
- Make sure the project has at least one user-defined step and resolve any project health errors that prevent publishing.
- PDF export must be enabled for your organization. If Export PDF is missing from the Publish window, contact your administrator or Scope AR Support.
How to save a scenario as a PDF
- Click Publish in the top-right corner of Create. You can also choose File > Publish Scenario.
- In the Publish Scenario window, select Export PDF.
- Review the session type, publishing destination, and sharing settings for your scenario.
- Click Publish. Create saves the project, captures the step content, generates the PDF, and publishes the scenario. Wait for the process to finish; larger projects may take longer.
- After publishing succeeds, open the downloaded PDF from your browser's downloads or your device's download location. A copy is also attached to the published version in CMS.
Note: Export PDF runs as part of publishing the scenario. Clicking Publish applies the publishing and sharing settings you selected.
What the PDF includes
The PDF provides a static document version of your scenario, including project information, a table of contents, and step content such as descriptions, 3D views, and step UI. Form questions and attachment information are included where present.
The PDF uses a landscape layout. Review the downloaded document before distributing or printing it. Animations and interactive behavior are represented as static content.
Troubleshooting
- Export PDF is not visible: Confirm that PDF export is available and enabled for your organization.
- The local download does not start: Check your browser's download notifications and restrictions. If publishing succeeded, the PDF is attached to the published version in CMS.
