Introducing WorkLink CMS 3.42 Update 1 (3.42.9 UI)
With the release of WorkLink Create 2.47, we have also shipped CMS 3.42 Update 1 (3.42.9 UI). This update introduces a major improvement to platform security by standardizing authentication across all WorkLink clients.
As of this release, CMS, Advanced Analytics, and Create are now all aligned on a new, more secure authentication model, with other clients transitioning in upcoming releases.
What’s New
1. OAuth-Style Authentication for All Clients: This release introduces support for OAuth-style authentication across all WorkLink clients connecting to CMS. This modern authentication approach provides:
Improved security for client-server communication
Standardized authentication flows across products
A foundation for future enhancements in access control and identity management
The CMS admin interface has also been updated to use this new authentication method. All WorkLink clients will migrate to this model in subsequent releases.
2. OAuth Authentication for Analytics Client: The Advanced Analytics client now fully uses the new OAuth authentication model. This ensures:
Consistent login experience across CMS and Analytics
Improved security for analytics data access
Alignment with the broader platform authentication strategy
Bug Fixes
1. Deleted Assets Causing Errors in Create: Previously, when assets were deleted (soft-deleted), they could no longer be accessed by Create, even if still referenced in projects, resulting in errors.
This has been resolved.
Create can now continue to access soft-deleted assets when required by existing projects
Projects will no longer break due to asset deletion
Summary
CMS 3.42.9 UI is a security-focused release that standardizes authentication across the WorkLink ecosystem while also improving stability for asset handling in Create.
This update lays the groundwork for a more secure, scalable, and unified platform experience going forward.
