Introducing WorkLink CMS 3.43.0
We’re excited to announce the release of CMS 3.43.0, introducing major enhancements across folders, authentication, AI configuration, WebApp support, and workflow persistence. This release also includes important usability, security, and session management fixes.
New Features
1. Updated Groups Page for Folder Support: The Groups page has been updated to support the new Folders functionality, ensuring only relevant areas are displayed and improving overall navigation and usability.
2. Shared Folder Access Displayed in “Shared With” Column: The Scenario List now includes users and groups that have access through shared folders within the “Shared With” column, providing better visibility into content permissions.
3. Added Feature Flag for “3D Checklists”: A new feature flag called “3D Checklists” has been introduced. This feature is disabled by default for newly created companies, allowing for controlled rollout and testing.
4. OAuth 2.0 Token Endpoint Support for all Apps: Server-side support for OAuth 2.0 token endpoints has been implemented and strengthened across the platform.
This includes:
- Refresh token grant support
- Standardized token behavior
- Improved authentication security
All client applications can now use this OAuth-based login flow.
5. CMS Uses OAuth 2.0 Access & Refresh Token Flow: The CMS React Admin application now fully supports the OAuth 2.0 access and refresh token client flow, improving:
- Session reliability
- Predictable login/logout behavior
- Security handling
6. AI Pools Configuration Form: A new configuration form allows server administrators to define AI Provider Pools for the AI Server and AI Assistant.
This enables:
- Weighted pools of AI providers
- Dynamic provider assignment
- Greater flexibility than fixed provider/model combinations
7. Strengthened Auth Token Expiration: Authentication token expiration handling has been improved to strengthen platform security while also improving user experience during session expiration events.
8. iPad Detection with “Launch in WorkLink” Button: The system now detects iPad devices and displays a “Launch in WorkLink” button to improve redirection and app launch behavior.
9. Migrated Origin Groups to Folder Structure: Origin Groups have been migrated into the new folder structure to preserve customer organizational layouts and support future folder functionality.
Note: This migration enables folder features for companies moving forward.
10. Capture Browser Version in WebApp Sessions: The browser version is now captured as part of ENTER_SESSION event processing for WebApp sessions, providing more detailed analytics and troubleshooting data.
11. Extract Workflow Engine Data from .scope GLB Files: Workflow Engine data is now extracted directly from .scope GLB files.
This allows:
- Scenario state persistence
- Proper restoration of 3D Checklist workflows
- Resuming scenario sessions with preserved state
12. Export Session Images in a Single Package: Users can now export all screenshots and photos from a scenario session as a single downloadable archive, simplifying session documentation management.
Bug Fixes
1. Logout of Create Automatically Logging Back In: Resolved an issue where logging out of Create could unintentionally restore the active session and log the user back in automatically.
2. Incorrect Scenario Placeholder Asset: Fixed an issue where scenarios displayed an incorrect placeholder image. Correct placeholder assets are now shown consistently.
3. Discarded Checklist Photos Still Appearing: Resolved a communication issue between the App and CMS where discarded checklist photos were still being displayed. Discarded photos are now correctly removed.
4. GraphQL Introspection Enabled on IoT Server: Addressed a security issue where GraphQL introspection was enabled on the IoT server, preventing unauthorized schema access.
5. QR Code Launch Always Opening Web App: Fixed an issue where launching scenarios via QR code would always open the WebApp even when the native WorkLink app was installed.
6. Upload Scenario Form Sizing Issues: Resolved an issue where the Upload Scenario form did not expand correctly for long file names, causing unnecessary scrollbars and layout problems.
CMS 3.43.0 delivers major improvements to folders, authentication, AI management, workflow persistence, and WebApp functionality, while also strengthening platform security and usability.
