Introducing WorkLink App 2.24.0 (2.24.2 for UWP & HL2)
We are excited to announce the latest release of the App, bringing a host of new features, improvements, and bug fixes to enhance your user experience. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect in WorkLink App Version 2.24.0:
New Features
Multi-Pose Object Alignment
This release now supports multi-pose object alignment which significantly improves the accuracy of aligning the digital twin to its real world analog. Obtaining two additional poses can improve alignment such that the mean deviation is less than 3 mm which is more than 2x more accurate than before. This is only available on mobile devices and the HoloLens, and can be enabled via settings. Please check out this article for more information on how to use Multi-Pose Object Alignment.
UI Editor 2.0 Text Variables
This release now supports text variables used in new UI templates authored in WorkLink Create.
UI Editor 2.0 Hover & Active States
This release now supports hover & active states defined for components in new UI templates authored in WorkLink Create. This only applies to Windows and HoloLens. Please check out this article on how to use the new UI Editor.
Improvements
Screen dimming on mobile devices
This release now disables screen dimming on mobile devices during scenarios so that you can set your phone or tablet down or in a mount for viewing and continue to reference work instructions without having to continuously interact with it.
Settings now appear when viewing public catalogs as a guest
This release now supports settings for guests viewing public catalogs so they can enable multi-pose object alignment, view and send diagnostics, etc.
UI Editor 2.0 Camera Inset Layering
This release now supports camera inset layering used in new UI templates authored in WorkLink Create. Camera insets can be configured to appear in front or behind all 2D UI authored per step.
Bug Fixes
UI Editor 2.0 camera insets
The previous release 2.23.0 became incompatible with WorkLink Create for camera insets authored in the new UI Editor. This release fixes it so that camera insets always appear as authored.
Camera Swaps
Calls should now be stable after swapping the camera more than once.
