Introducing WorkLink App 2.31.0
We are excited to introduce WorkLink App 2.31.0, bringing significant enhancements to precision alignment, step loading, asset management, and error handling. This update also includes key bug fixes to improve overall performance and usability.
New Features
-
Enhanced Precision Alignment Experience
Additional feedback and error handling have been added to prevent misalignment. If an alignment pose doesn’t match the previous captures, users will be notified, reducing the risk of inaccurate alignments. -
Improved Step Loading
Step loading and pre-loading have been optimized to minimize pauses when navigating between steps. The app now anticipates the next step and loads content into memory in advance for a smoother experience. -
Optimized Asset Caching
The handling of project assets—including 3D models, images, and videos—has been improved to ensure efficient loading and unloading, reducing memory usage while keeping essential content accessible. -
Better On-Prem Licensing Error Messaging
Licensing errors are now more clearly defined, with detailed messaging to help users understand and resolve issues more efficiently. -
Improved Session Data Handling During Connection Loss
If the server connection is lost during a session, session data is now stored locally and automatically uploaded once the connection is restored. -
Support for Rich Text Formatting in 3D Text
The app now supports rich text formatting for 3D text objects. This feature will be available in an upcoming Create release, allowing authors to format 3D text elements with enhanced styling.
Bug Fixes
-
Resolved Session Recording Upload Issues
Session recordings were sometimes getting stuck on the device instead of uploading to the server. This has been fixed, ensuring recordings are properly uploaded.Note: A known issue remains where annotations made during a call are not included in the session recording. A fix for this is in progress.
-
Fixed “Move to Step” Action with Force View Form
Previously, a conflict between the “Move to Step” action and forced-view forms prevented navigation. This issue has been resolved, allowing users to advance as expected.
This update brings improved stability, better usability, and enhanced performance to WorkLink. Thank you for your continued feedback and support!
